Meaning
The endurance battery for unmanned aerial vehicles refers to a specialized power lithium battery designed specifically for drones, with higher energy density, more stable discharge performance, and significantly longer single flight time than ordinary batteries.
It is mainly used to extend the hovering, cruising, and operation time of drones, meeting the needs of long-term operations such as aerial photography, inspection, surveying, logistics, and plant protection. It is commonly seen in industrial and industry level drones.
Basic principles
- At present, the mainstream endurance batteries for unmanned aerial vehicles are mainly high rate lithium polymer batteries (LiPo) and lithium-ion batteries (Li ion), while some high-end models use solid-state batteries and hydrogen fuel cells.
- Charging and discharging are achieved by inserting and removing lithium ions between the positive and negative electrodes of the battery;
- Using high-capacity battery cells and optimized packaging structure to store more electrical energy within limited weight and volume;
- Cooperate with the Battery Management System (BMS) to monitor voltage, current, and temperature in real-time, ensure stable discharge of high current, prevent overcharging, overdischarging, and overheating, and provide continuous power supply for the drone motor, flight control, and gimbal.

Built in comprehensive BMS protection, with overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, and short-circuit protection, better adaptability to high and low temperature environments.

While increasing capacity, try to control the weight as much as possible to avoid offsetting the battery life advantage due to excessive weight.
Support fast charging or intelligent battery swapping
Some long-range batteries support fast charging and hot swapping, enabling continuous and uninterrupted operation.
