Recently, the global high-altitude cleaning market has ushered in a wave of large-scale equipment upgrades. Cleaning engineering companies and large-scale PV plant operation groups from the Middle East, Southeast Asia and European countries have successively signed bulk purchase orders for industrial cleaning drones. This marks that the two core tracks of facade cleaning and PV dust removal have completely bid farewell to high-risk manual work and fully stepped into a new era of unmanned operation.
Traditional high-rise cleaning has long relied on scaffolding and rope access workers. Such working modes feature long construction cycles and high labor costs. Hazards including strong wind, falling objects and slippery wall surfaces frequently lead to safety accidents. In recent years, Europe, America and the Middle East have issued strict safety regulations for aerial work, which further raised the operating threshold of manual cleaning. Meanwhile, dust and sand covering PV panels will directly reduce power generation efficiency. Manual flushing for large-scale photovoltaic parks is time-consuming and labor-intensive, creating an urgent demand for cost reduction and efficiency improvement across the industry.
The exported industrial cleaning drones are specially optimized for the two core application scenarios. Models for high-rise building facades are fitted with high-pressure water washing modules, capable of cleaning glass and aluminum veneer exteriors of 100-meter super high-rises. Equipped with full-range AI obstacle avoidance radar, the drones can autonomously dodge wall protrusions, pipelines, billboards and other barriers, finishing full-area flushing without scaffolding. PV-specialized cleaning drones are equipped with lightweight soft brushes and low-pressure spraying devices that will not damage PV panel coatings, supporting automatic cyclic cleaning for large connected photovoltaic plants. After cleaning in sand-prone areas, power generation output can be obviously improved.
Two configurations are available: standard lithium battery versions and long-duration tethered versions, matching different demands of small and medium cleaning projects as well as large long-term maintenance projects. The equipment is easy to operate; a single operator can independently control it after simple training. Compared with traditional manual teams, working efficiency is increased by 4 to 6 times, and overall operating costs are cut by more than 60%. The products fully comply with EU green construction standards and adapt to high-temperature outdoor working environments in the Middle East.
Overseas buyers stated that the local cleaning industry is facing labor shortages and rising safety penalty costs. Intelligent cleaning drones can steadily undertake long-term maintenance orders for commercial complexes, office buildings and photovoltaic power stations with a short return on investment cycle, serving as core equipment to solve industry pain points.
Industry experts analyzed that the commercialization of low-altitude economy keeps accelerating, and industrial special drones will continuously penetrate segmented sectors including cleaning, inspection and spraying. The bulk purchases from multiple countries prove that unmanned cleaning equipment has evolved from an industry concept to a must-have product in the global cleaning market, and overseas order volume will maintain a steady upward trend in the future.
