Washing Agricultural Drones? First, Check the Body Material!

Whether an agricultural drone can be washed depends on its body material. Common body materials include plastic, carbon fiber, and aluminum alloy:

Plastic Body: Like washing a toy car, gently brush it with a soft-bristled brush and water. Avoid using a high-pressure water gun, as this may damage the seams.

Carbon Fiber Body: This high-tech material is highly susceptible to scratches. Before washing, wrap the motor and electronic components in a plastic bag. Dry it immediately with a clean cloth after washing.

Aluminum Alloy Body: Although corrosion-resistant, prolonged water accumulation can lead to oxidation. It's recommended to wipe it with a slightly damp cloth, focusing on cleaning crevices where pesticide residue may remain.

Three Cleaning Principles: Gentle, Timely, and Dry

Even if the body material allows washing, remember these three cleaning principles:

Gentle Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush instead of steel wool, like giving the drone a spa treatment, to avoid scratching the surface coating.

Clean promptly: Pesticide residue left for more than 24 hours may corrode the machine body. After each use, it is recommended to wipe it with a dry cloth first, and then decide whether to wash it with water depending on the material.

Dry thoroughly: After washing, use a hairdryer on a low setting to dry the seams, or place it in a ventilated place to air dry naturally to avoid short circuits caused by moisture to electronic components.
