Propeller Protector
The drone's propeller is its sole power source. If the propeller collides with obstacles such as tree branches or walls, it will be damaged, causing the drone to lose power and crash. For beginners, purchasing a propeller protector is essential.
UV Filter and Lens Hood
Like cameras, gimbal cameras also have corresponding UV filters and lens hoods to prevent the camera lens from directly contacting the ground and to protect it from scratches and impacts during daily use. In addition, there are polarizing filters (PL) available, which act as filters and also offer some protection.
Gimbal Protective Mounts
There are two types of gimbal protective mounts: the first is a steel plate reinforcing the gimbal's joints, and the second is a reinforcing plate under the gimbal. Both protect the gimbal. The second type, the under-gimbal reinforcement plate, will partially obstruct the view, but its protective effect is significant. The first type does not affect the shooting view and also offers some protection, but in a violent crash, the protection is not absolute.
Drone Insurance
Drone insurance is an added-value service offered by drone manufacturers. It's usually an optional extra when purchasing the drone and has a time limit. Insurance can only be purchased within 24 hours of purchase, after inspection, or after the drone has been returned to the manufacturer for repair and the manufacturer has confirmed the product is fine. Insurance cannot be purchased at other times.
This service is not like other life insurance. It's relatively cost-effective for manufacturers with high repair costs, but less so for simpler drone repairs. As consumers, this is a strategy of "small cost for big repairs" when facing high repair fees.
Drone Backpack
Although it's just a carrier for the drone, if the backpack isn't sturdy enough, it can still occasionally damage the aircraft, and vibrations may damage the drone's sensors. It's recommended to choose an aluminum case or a hard-shell backpack for better protection.
